Helpful Links

Information:

Lost Innocents- I'm really not sure if I should classify this as 'information' or 'stories/blogs' because it has both! I bookmarked this site long before I had any problems (not really sure why...). The writer of this blog does a wonderful job of being very straight forward about miscarriage & what to expect.  There are also lots of pictures of babies miscarried at different stages of pregnancy, so don't explore this site if you really don't want to see them

APA Miscarriage and Loss- some good information about handling the grief associated with miscarriage and loss from the American Pyscological Association.

Remembering Our Babies

Stories and blogs about miscarriage and loss that have helped me:

Rose and her Lily- the incredible story of a young woman's journey through a regrettable abortion and then the stillbirth or her daughter.

Caleb's Ministry- this family lost their baby at almost the exact same gestation I lost my Gabriel. They've chosen to turn their experience into an anti-abortion ministry.

You Made Me a Mommy- the story of a mom who lost her first baby at 19 weeks.

Why talk about miscarriage

Support Groups

IAAMTAA- I Am A Mother To An Angel Facebook support group

Services

Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep- An incredible free photography service offered in many places to those who have had to say goodbye to their baby, or go in knowing they will.

Memorial & Remembrance Items:
Please keep in mind that most of these are, indeed, buisnesses started to homor angel babies... They are not free services

August Wings- a wonderful organization that provides personalized broken heart necklaces at no cost for mothers grieving the loss of a baby.  You can read more about this and see my necklace here.  I hope to start a similar program in the future!

My Tangible Peace- An Etsy store where you can find life-size models of babies all the way from 6 weeks gestation!  How cool would that be to keep in a special place... Maybe even a locket!  I love it :)  (You can also find them on FaceBook)

Remember me Preemie Dolls- Fabric memorial dolls made to the size you specify to match your little angel

Angel in my Arms Dolls- Another website where you can order fabric memorial dolls made to size, these are done in different patterns/ colors of fabric
